An Evening of Chamber Music at The Scarab Club

Fete de la Muzique at The Scarab Club in Detroit

Please join us for the 2nd annual Scarab Club fundraiser, a fun and casual evening of music donated by several of Detroit’s finest chamber musicians. An eclectic program of string and wind chamber music will be presented to benefit this club, which has supported the arts for 100 years.

This year’s event will begin with a short garden prelude, followed by a double feature of two different chamber concerts. For the garden pre-concert, Lynne will perform several trios for oboe, violin and cello by Baroque oboist Alessandro Besozzi. During the two indoor concerts, she will perform the following works:

• part of the Quartet for English Horn and Strings by Jean Francaix
• Divertimento #11 for oboe, horns and strings by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
• an arrangement of the beautiful Vocalise for English Horn and strings by Sergei Rachmaninov

Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon”

Lynne will perform with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and The Machine, performing music by the legendary rock band Pink Floyd.

The “Dark Side of the Moon” concert will be at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall.

Lynne will perform Oboe and English Horn with MOT’s production of Romeo and Juliet at the magnificent Detroit Opera House. Come see this romantic and beautiful opera, which will be sung in French with English supertitles displayed above the stage.

John Rutter’s Feel the Spirit
for Choir and Chamber Orchestra

On Sunday, May 20th, Lynne will appear at the Royal Oak First United Methodist Church for a performance of John Rutter’s “Feel the Spirit”. This work is for choir (featuring mezzo-soprano Dr. Rachel Andrews) and chamber orchestra. Admission is free, and a free-will offering will be received for future performances in the church’s Performing Arts series.

“Camelot” in April

Camelot at the Fisher Theater in Detroit

British stage and film legend Michael York (“The Three Musketeers,†“Cabaret†and “Austin Powers†) stars in this magnificent new production of Lerner and Loewe’s timeless masterpiece.

Lynne will be performing both Oboe and English Horn in the Detroit Camelot Orchestra.

Performances are at the Fisher Theater from April 11-29:

• Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm
• Sunday evening performances at 7:30pm
• There is an additional performance on Thursday, April 12 at 1:00pm.

“Music of the Night”

A night of Broadway favorites
at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield

Lynne will perform with an orchestra in a fundrasing concert for Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. The concert will feature many favorite songs from Broadway shows, led by Cynthia Westphal, who was previously the Music Director of The Lion King on Broadway.

Lynne will appear with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra in their performance of Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks. The orchestra will also perform Pachebel’s Canon, Mozart’s Serenata notturna, and Haydn’s Symphony #72.
