Recital at Nardin Park

The Great Lakes Consort will be presenting a recital, “Music of the High Baroque for Oboe, Trumpet, and Organ” on August 1, 2012. This concert is part of the “Wednesdays at Eight” concert series at the historic Nardin Park Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Hundreds of patrons from the area are expected at this free concert.

Doctoral Recital – Lynne Mangan Flegg

On April 29th, I will be presenting my first Doctoral Recital. This recital is given as part of the requirements for the Doctorate in Musical Arts Degree at University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The recital will be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, MO. Featured on the recital is pianist/harpsichordist Dan Velicer, bassoonist James Ryan Morris, and mezzo soprano/actress Erica Koehring.

Varese “Octandre” at UMKC

I am very excited to perform Octandre by Edgard Varese with members of the UMKC Wind Symphony, under the direction of David Clemmer. On April 17th, Mr. Clemmer will be giving a lecture about this amazing work, prior to our performance.

Christmas Concert in LaSalle

The Messiah by G. F. Handel

The Michigan Sinfonietta will accompany the Northville Concert Chorale in a performance of George Frederich Handel’s masterpiece oratorio, The Messiah.

The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church of Northville, located on Main Street in downtown Northville.

2010 Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music

The 2010 Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music will take place from August 1-15. Lynne will perform with the festival orchestra throughout the festival. Under the direction of Maestro Marin Alsop, the festival will feature the music of -  and appearances by – composers such as Jennifer Higdon, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Kevin Puts, Phillip Glass, Thomas Ades, and John Adams.

This year’s festival will include performances by the Kronos Quartet, Eighth Blackbird, percussionist Colin Currie, cellist Wendy Sutter, and composer/pianist Kevin Puts.

The Cabrillo Festival concerts are some of the most exciting performances Lynne has ever been a part of. If you can visit us in California for this festival, you will have a very memorable experience!
