Windsor Symphony: Ode to St. Cecilia

Lynne will join the Windsor Symphony Orchestra as guest Principal Oboe for their first Intimate Classics Concert of 2009. With the Windsor Classic Chorale, the orchestra will perform Henry Purcell’s masterpiece Ode to St. Cecilia. Also on the program is Handel’s Coronation Anthem #2.

Great Lakes Woodwind Quintet

On January 9, the Great Lakes Woodwind Quintet conducted a Chamber Music Seminar at North Farmington High School.

The focus of the chamber music seminar was to help high school musicians with preparing chamber music. In addition to highlighting good music choices for the skill level of a small ensemble, the GLWQ facilitated discussions and demonstrated how to rehearse efficiently, how to communicate effectively, and how to negotiate respectfully. Several excellent NFHS ensembles performed and were coached by GLWQ members.
