20th Century Chamber Music Recital

Lynne will join the Amabile Chamber Ensemble to present a concert of eclectic music from the twentieth century. Hosted by the Fine Arts Society of Detroit, this Sunday afternoon concert will feature several exciting works:

  • Phantasy Quartet for oboe, violin, viola, and cello by Benjamin Britten
  • Quintet for flute, violin, viola, cello, and harp by Jean Cras
  • “Why Else Would You Have an English Horn…” for Actress and English horn, based on poems by V.R. Lang, composed by Christopher Berg
  • Entr’acte for flute and harp by Jacques Ibert
  • Three Sketches from the Spanish Sketchbook, for flute and harp by Isaac Albeniz, arr. Draughn
  • Quintet for flute, oboe, viola, cello, and harp by Nino Rota

The concert will take place at Detroit’s beautiful Players Playhouse, located at 3321 E. Jefferson Avenue (click here for map).
