On January 5, 2013, Bowling Green State University will be holding the 2013 BGSU Double Reed Day. Hosted by Bassoon Professor Dr. Susan Nelson and Oboe Professor Lynne Marie Mangan, the day will feature a performing competition for high school and college level players, lectures, demonstrations, recitals, and a play-along concert for all participants. I am excited to announce that I have been appointed to the faculty of Bowling Green State University as the Adjunct Associate Professor of Oboe for the 2012-2013 academic year.
In this role, I will be working with undergraduate and graduate music students.
I will maintain an oboe studio in the Detroit area, and create a new studio in northwest Ohio. Please contact me for more information about music lessons by clicking here.

The Great Lakes Consort will be presenting a recital, “Music of the High Baroque for Oboe, Trumpet, and Organ” on August 1, 2012. This concert is part of the “Wednesdays at Eight” concert series at the historic Nardin Park Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Hundreds of patrons from the area are expected at this free concert.

On April 29th, I will be presenting my first Doctoral Recital. This recital is given as part of the requirements for the Doctorate in Musical Arts Degree at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
The recital will be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, MO. Featured on the recital is pianist/harpsichordist Dan Velicer, bassoonist James Ryan Morris, and mezzo soprano/actress Erica Koehring.

I am very excited to perform Octandre by Edgard Varese with members of the UMKC Wind Symphony, under the direction of David Clemmer. On April 17th, Mr. Clemmer will be giving a lecture about this amazing work, prior to our performance.

I am excited to announce that I have begun the Doctorate of Musical Arts program at Conservatory of Music at University of Missouri-Kansas City. In August, I moved to Kansas City for the 2011-2012 school year to pursue this program.
I was also named an Adjunct Instructor of Oboe, responsible for teaching Oboe Techniques course, and assisting with the UMKC oboe studio.

The Michigan Sinfonietta will accompany the Northville Concert Chorale in a performance of George Frederich Handel’s masterpiece oratorio, The Messiah.
The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church of Northville, located on Main Street in downtown Northville.
