Detroit Symphony: Tchaikovsky and Gershwin
Lynne will join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for an exciting series of concerts in May. Concerts include the music of two great American composers and a symphony by Tchaikovsky, led by a great American conductor.
Maestro Andrew Litton leads the DSO in their performances of:
- Richard Danielpour’s Celestial Night
- George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue
- Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony Number 5
Lynne will play on the Tchaikovsky, where the woodwinds will all be doubled (two players on each part).
The concerts will be held at Orchestra Hall, in the Max Fisher Music Center in Detroit. Tickets are available by visiting the online DSO box office or calling (313) 576-5111.
